Project Overview
Three years of intensive engineering and development work with the TUfast racing team, focusing heavily on critical low-voltage systems and embedded software.
Key Contributions
- Design of the electronics for an emergency braking system (PCB design, embedded C), reducing the time for vehicle startup from several minutes to seconds and adding system monitoring via CAN.
- Implemented new in-car radio telemetry, allowing access to critical sensor information (e.g. SOC, battery temperature) from a 3x greater distance.
- Contribution to the layout and integration of the low-voltage wiring harness.
- Commissioning of the car, including debugging of the assembled low voltage system, first wheel turning, and management during first track days.
- Active monitoring of vehicle operations and data logging during test sessions and official races.
